Hong Kong is a major global trade hub and a financial center. It is often called the world’s most vertical city, as flat land scarcity and rapid economic development have created a necessity to build densely and tall. As a result, Hong Kong’s cityscape is dominated by skyscrapers and highrises.
Hong Kong belongs to the most fascinating cities in the world, at least as far as photography is concerned. Previously a British colony, since 1997 it has been officialy known as “Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China”. English is still an official language, along with Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin).
